Eligibility: 
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be a resident of the State of Wyoming and the county from which the applicant is making the application.
Be able to read and write the English language.
Not have been convicted of a felony, unless the felony conviction has been pardoned, reversed, or annulled and all rights have been restored.

Notary Term
6 years.
Notary Bond
Effective July 1, 2021 - Not required. Notaries may still obtain a notary bond and/or E&O insurance. The bond and/or insurance will NOT be filed with the County Clerk.
Errors & Omissions Insurance
Optional. Wyoming Notary "Discount" Association Company strongly recommends that Wyoming notaries insure themselves against claims of negligence.
Notary Stamp/Seal
Required. A rectangular stamp seal (black or blue) inked rubber stamp.
Journal & Audio/Visual Recordings
Notaries public must log every notarial act in their journal. Journals may be maintained electronically or by hard copy. Remote notarizations are required to maintain an audio/visual recording of the act.
State Filing Fee
A $60 filing fee is required for new and renewal notary applications.
Education Requirements
Notaries public will be required to take an exam prior to a new or renewed commission. Notaries public must certify that they completed an educational presentation.
Jurisdiction
Statewide.
Non-Residents
A non-resident may obtain a Wyoming notary public commission if employed in WY or if a spouse or legal dependent of the military on active duty in Wyoming. Physical notarizations may be performed in any bordering state if the bordering state recognizes the notary’s authority within that state.
