The application fee is $10.00 and the application must be turned in to the probate office of your county of residence. Accompanying the application must be a copy of your current unexpired driver’s license.

Once the application, supporting documents and required $10.00 fee have been received by the probate office, the office will process the application within 10 days and a notification will be made that the application has been either approved or denied.

Once you receive an approval letter, you have 30 days to present the probate judge a notary bond and certificate of completion that the required notary public training has been completed. Each step of the training must be followed.
