Once you have the notary bond package order form correct and complete you must MAIL the following forms directly to us.
1) Original signed and completed notary public application
2) Format 1: Written Course PDF Form - Attach a copy of the completed test to the notary public application OR Format 2: Online Course - Attach a copy of the certificate of completion to the notary public application
3) Your correct and completed notary bond package order form
4) Form of payment

Once we receive your above forms in the U.S. mail we will review all of your forms for accuracy. If all the information is correct and complete we will then federal express the necessary forms directly to the Secretary of State's Office for processing. When the Secretary of State's Office receives the notary public application and test completion form they will review it, approve it and email us your new commission appointment. The Secretary of State will also mail you a letter with your new commission appointment information which you will keep for your records.

STEP 4 - WE WILL PROCESS YOUR NOTARY BOND AND MAIL OUT YOUR SUPPLIES AND OFFICAL NOTARY STAMP SEAL.
Once we receive your new commission appointment for the Secretary of State's Office we will process your notary bond. We will mail you your new notary bond, supplies and official stamp seal. NOTE: Your notary stamp will arrive at a later date due to the fact it needs to be personalized and manufactured.

Once we receive your notary bond package order online, by fax or by mail we will process your order. We will then prepare the following and mail it directly to you:
1) 10,000 notary bond
2) Power of Attorney form
3) Errors and Omissions insurance policy
4) Notary supplies
**Your official stamp seal will be ordered and mailed separately. (NOTE: Your official stamp seal will arrive at a later date due to the fact that it needs to be personalized and manufactured.)
STEP 3 - FILE YOUR NOTARY BOND AND BE SWORN IN BY THE COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE.
Once you receive your notary bond from our office you will be required to file your notary bond and be sworn in by the County Clerk's Office. You will have 90 days to file your notary bond at the County Clerk's Office from the date of the commission appointment from the Secretary of State. You must appear in person and present your $10,000 notary bond to insure your four-year term as a notary public. The clerk or deputy will administer the oath of office, after which you must submit a handwritten specimen of your official signature on the oath of office. This signature MUST match the exact name typed on your commission certificate. The clerk will staple the bond to the oath of office and official signature filing and mail them to the Secretary of State's Office. The clerk or deputy will then present you with your commission certificate.

ELIGIBILITY
Be 18 years old or older.
Be a registered voter in the county in which commissioned.
Read and write the English language.
Not have had a commission revoked during the past 10 years.
PROVISIONS
Non-Residents: Non-residents must work in Missouri and use the notary seal during the course of employment.
Bond: A 10,000 bond is required for new or renewing applicants.
Errors & Omissions Insurance: Optional. Missouri Notary Service and Bonding Co. strongly recommends that Missouri notaries insure themselves against claims of negligence.
Filing Fee: A $25 state filing fee is required for new and renewal notary applications.
Term: 4 years.
Jurisdiction: Statewide. (Non-Residents may notarize at employer's location only.)
Renewal: A notary may apply 30 days before expiration of the current commission by completing a renewal notary public application.
Notary Seal: Required. A embosser or rubber stamp.
Education/Testing: Required.
Record Journal: Required by law.
